Pseudocysts
A cavity in the tissue that is surrounded by an epithelial membrane is called a cyst. In a pseudocyst, on the other hand, the cavity is surrounded by a connective tissue-like membrane. Especially inflammatory and degenerative processes lead to the formation of pseudocysts.
Imaging techniques are suitable for diagnosis. Depending on the course of the disease, different treatment approaches are indicated. Primarily they are treated by ultrasound-supported endoscopic procedures, minimally invasive drainage procedures are also available. Secondary, surgical procedures are used.
